After 10 years of experience in tourist activities, we have integrated a group of professionals from different disciplines to advise and generate sustainable tourism projects. Always with community approach.
One of the most recent projects that we executed, was with the Asociación de Desarrollo de Turismo Ecológico Saquijá, who received funds from IFAD and FONAPAZ for a sustainable tourism project, in this case took advantage of the location of the community to provide guides service and rental equipment for rafting. See the website of the project.
In our itineraries have included visits to communities of the Mayan people to support the development of individuals who have found themselves in the adventure tourism an option to achieve a better standard of living
In
2003, Adventure Tourism, with the support of several government
institutions and private companies, organized the first
competition "Extreme Adventure."
It is considered the first contest of Adventure in Guatemala projected across rural areas and the characteristics of an adventure race.
The primary objective of the competition since its conception is to promote tourist destinations of Alta Verapaz where their topographical features, flora and fauna and its mild climate makes it the ultimate destination for adventure in Guatemalan territory.
There have been three competitions, Lachuá 2003, Lachuá 2004, Lanquín-Cahabón 2005. Although in the past two years has not been realized, for the 2008 we have plans for restarts this competition with more thrills and challenges for the participants.
Some of the activities in the competitions have been: mountain biking, rappelling, trekking, cave exploration, navigation on rivers, land navigation, survival, swimming, archery, etc..
